This semester course is a survey of the American legal system with a study of both legal procedure in civil and criminal courts, and a greater focus on the law of contracts and its application in the business sector of society. The course includes study of the constitutional system of state and federal courts and laws, professional ethics governing the practice of law in the business sector. Further, for the students’ education and consideration of vocation opportunities, there will be applications in writing and oral presentation of legal documentation and critical persuasion. Additional related materials will supplement and edify the course textbook.
